Re: Proposed rule changes 2015
i concur, the cluster/walker rule should be left as it is, even if it's only for those of us who do build propper clusterbots.

Re: Proposed rule changes 2015
As I have stated before I think we should stop all the complaining about people and robots who tend to always win and accept that they do it in general by good design and good driving and put our energy into trying to beat them. I don't agree with the comments on Fleas and Nanos they are quite a challenge to build and drive successfully. I take the point about reducing the number of ant drives people get but that always used to be tackled by having a second arena and running the non spinner ants at the same time as the smaller classes and you had a choice of which you did.
Re: Proposed rule changes 2015
I'm happy to put together a fully enclosed nano arena so it could be run seperately without using the main one.

Re: Proposed rule changes 2015
If we have to start co-running comps (which I'm all for) then we may have to watch out about robots that enter more than one catagory (IE as part of a cluster in the ants but also on its own in fleas/nanos) as that would be EO headache central right there.

Re: Proposed rule changes 2015
I only enter each robot in one event.
My Ant cluster has alsoran which is too big for a nano.
My Fleas are all seperate and even the nano that runs in Lemmings does not go in the Nano event.
But if the Fleas and Nanos run during the nonspinner event and you only get the choice to enter one or the other it shouldn't cause too many problems other than a robot entered in the AWS getting damaged but that is the chance you take.
A smaller arena for Fleas and Nanos would be good.

Re: Proposed rule changes 2015
I'll sort out a nano one, probably along the lines of petes ant arena as it is similar to the current nano one. If Dan had a size for that arena that would be great. A flea one is up to someone else though I'm afraid.

Re: Proposed rule changes 2015
When's the last time we had time to run a non-spinner??
We could easily run fleas and nanos parallel to the AWS but people would have to keep enteries separate.

Re: Proposed rule changes 2015
that would be fine by me. none of my fleaweights compete in the AWS as clusterbots and this too shall fail was always intended to be a cluster botlet and not a nano.
also-a reduction in the number of clusters that compete in the main AWS would speed things up slightly.
