Warhammer
Just as a query, does anyone play warhammer?
If you dont know, it is a tabletop battlegame involving minitures, dice and tape measures. The minitures are like airfix, but much cooler. You make them from plastic or metal, and then you have a battle using the rules system. Its cool because there are loads of different armies, and you can paint them how you want, even if it does not abide by the colour scheme!

I collect warhammer-
Warhammer 40000 (set in the future) Tau empire, Chaos Space Marines
Warhammer Fantasy (set in the past, with dwarfs and elves) Night Goblins

I remember Warhammer being a real big thing at our school (there used to be a club run by our art teacher at one point) however, I never got into it as it was too expensive for me at the time.

OMG Simon, you'll be hung drawn and quartered! They weren't playing Warhammer! They were wargamers - faithfully recreating some obscure WWI battle in a previously quiet corner of Belgium for the entire 3 days of Modelworld. (I think they spent the first day discussing the rules though.)Simon Windisch wrote:This year at Brighton Model World we were surrounded by Warhammer exhibits.
The Warhammer guys were in another hall, but yes, they are still around and battling hard. Also popular at the games shop in Eindhoven where the previous AWS was held.
