brushless question.
hi guys. as most of you will know from reading my thread in the antweight section, I am building a spinner and getting the parts for christmas. i have started building the chasis early so that the robot will be ready in time for the janurary event. i just need to know: which direction do brushless motors usually spin? ( clockwise or anticlockwise ) thanks.

Re: brushless question.
Either, they are bi-directional. If it is the wrong way swap the 2 outside wires over.

Re: brushless question.
You can spin them in either direction, although I assume the "normal" direction would be clockwise when driving a standard propellor. The direction is described when the motor is viewed with the shaft away from you.
There are 3 connections between the speed controller and motor, and there may not be any labelling about which wire goes where but in fact it's not a problem.
Simply connect the wires in any order.
The motor will spin one way or the other.
There is no "wrong" connection that can be made!
If the motor spins the "wrong" way (for your application) simply swap over two of the wires, leaving the third as-is.
Then it will spin the opposite way. Simples!
(Ah. Alex beat me to it!)
