Flight cameras for an antweight.

Post by Shakey »

I have been wanting to put flight camera in one of my antweights for a long time just for some interesting footage and have been looking at two different cameras, the weight is fine for what my ants seem to come in at but I want to see if I could get it down more.

I am looking into this one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... card_.html
Or this one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... _CMOS.html

Do you reckon I would be able to connect a 4V voltage regulator to a 3 cell lipo or to the receiver and run it off that along side the ants electronics. I am going to start by experimenting with stanley so it will be a 3 cell lipo into a option D3 with 4 100:1 HP motors (Yeah I know I shouldn't run 4 HP off a D3) with a hobby king receiver.

Also which one do you think would be better for this option, the second does have a better FOV though but is more expensive.

Cheers,
Alex

Yeah but it is hard to find one that comes close to decent without costing a fortune that I wouldn't mind having a spinner go through it.

Look on ebay for 808 camera #11. I have one to put on robots and it's HD, only thing is you need to buy a fast mini SD card for it but they work really well.

You can update the single LiPo battery if needed.
