Jack,
Make-A-Bot now exists as a simple plug & play beginner-style robot for demonstrations. Goes together in about 5 mins, although it is a bit tricky talking coherently and building at the same time!
You're welcome to borrow it if you like.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the feedback.
@Gary: That looks really cool! The show has changed somewhat - the idea originally was for me to build a robot on stage however it soon became apparent that due to time constraints i would be building a robot backstage and then reviling it onstage later in the show. You have given me another idea though, i shall keep you posted and most definitely contact you if its needed.
@Harry: Been a while mate, glad to be back here. Actually some kind of "suicide bot" might be needed, have you got anything in mind? im in 2 minds as to whether i should use the flipper robot against the spinner and risk it being written off or have a separate robot altogether. Will keep you posted also.
@Josh: Connectors ordered, invoice in my dads hands pending payment. Cheers again for all the help.

One more CAD to go before you guys get a "sneak peak" of the completed thing. Will keep you posted.
Jack

I love the spinner one, but whats going on with the flipper one ? The servo sticks out and the flipper is on the Pisa :P

True, there are some issues. the armour may need a reprint along the line to make it thicker etc. There was no way that servo was sitting in the robot with the design we have, its a trend i've seen quite a bit recently. Josh did a cracking job, when you see them up close at some point you should be able to see that :)

Oh and just an FYI, the event got pushed back to January because of booking issues but apart from that everything looks good :) Will hopefully be popping down to an event next year, been far too long.
