If you don't get any beeps, then the speed controller is not starting up properly.
Is the battery fully charged?
Is the stick in the right position, and the trim not set too far out?
If you don't get the normal beeps at power-on, the motor won't work.
My guess is that the battery voltage is just too low for the speed controller, hence no beeping. The brushless controller may well give up at 6V whereas whatever you use for drive may work fine down to 5V.
For a 2-cell lipo, never let it go below 5V. Many brushless speedos are set to 6V as it is a safer option.

Re: brushless help?
I had a lipo that my charger said it charged up fine, there was no error beep or anything to indicate otherwise, and it usually goes nuts if something is wrong. But that battery just refused to work afterwards. Sometimes lipos just...go, I think. Though that wouldn't explain why it happened with two others too, unless they're not fully charged, or also dead?

Re: brushless help?
I thought it was better to recycle this thread than start a new one as I am having some brushless trouble and need some help.
When I connect the power to the system, the correct beeping occurs and it runs well for about 3-4 seconds and then it loses all power regardless of the stick's position, when I move the stick back to zero and start the motor again exacly the same occours. The same problem happens whether I am running it on 3.7V, 7.4V or 11.1V.
I am using this motor:
http://www.robotmarketplace.com/product ... M1130.html
and I believe I am using this motor controller:
http://www.robotmarketplace.com/product ... A325H.html
(It has no label on it but it is a red PCB from the States of the same size, which has a large black capacitor on the power lead end of the PC)
Any help would be usefull.

Re: brushless help?
That sounds like it is overheating. Is it getting warm to the touch? I would check the soldering of the motor and rc lead first of all.

Re: brushless help?
Nope, both the motor and the controller are stone cold and there is no short circuiting.

Re: brushless help?
use cheaper, better parts
your motor alone cost more than my whole setup, runs fine
trying a different esc might help

I have a very simple problem too what Chris is describing. I'm going to take it to brighton to have someone that knows what they're doing to have a look at it .
