It was a combination of the 7 way connectors and ready crimped cables being easily available plus I was going to bring out the bind pin. This has now been changed to an on board bind switch so on this board I have bought out the signal wire for the 4th channel (rudder). The idea is to keep the main six wires standard so once the wiring loom is in place any plugable controller with it suitable receiver can be plugged in. Actually at best you will be second as one was posted off yesterday.

I got in first - thanks Peter
Well, I had some fun fitting the controller into Formic
I built the bot to fit the controller so I'm very glad it worked out
This bot is much quicker than Push-it and more controllable

I can attest that that is one extrordinary controller! Definately got some speed in it, I just want to see accelerant jumped up on one of those!

My expert driving in the video there.
Mixing on the DX6i for that robot. This will put forwards + backwards on the left stick (Elevator) and right + left on the left stick (Aileron):
Mix 1
Elev> Aile ACT
Rate L +100% R+100%
SW ON Trim ACT
Mix 2
Aile> Elev ACT
Rate D -100% U -100%
SW On Trim ACT
There we go.

Sorry Dave26 I missed your question, due the the extra components the work out at ?38 + ?2p&p.
Just been doing some experimenting with producing a new type controller as above but for the AR6100 layout type receiver as they are available in the UK from GiantCod for ?6.84 when in stock.
http://www.giantcod.co.uk/dsm2-ar6100-c ... 05873.html
Unfortunatly they are like the Corona receivers and output the channel pulses simultaneously and so don't work with my controller software. I need to look at how difficult it will be to rewrite the software.
They actually do work with a real Spektrum AR6100 receiver but they are so expensive compared to these newer ones.

i have one of those rxs, will they work with one of your plug in speed controlers?
