Another update!

The base is finished! Weights at only 5g :)

And a small assemble

New stuff is on its way. A Phoenix 10 speed controller + adapter for programming. New shell, this one will have no mounting holes, as the screws were diging down innto the material, and the other one is getting a bit uneven :P

A couple of hits against Katjuscha will straighten that out no problem. :)

Now I've been away from antweights for a long time, too long.

So I decided that I needed some new stuff for Desire, which came this morning!

First off, I 2 new lipos:
http://www.mft.nu/?pid=318712
11.1V
200mAh

And some connectors:
http://www.mft.nu/?pid=256606
I was suprised how small they really are!

More is on its way, as a new speed controller (managed to blow up the previous one)

Got the new shell aswell! It only took them 6 month to do such a simple thing :x

Will have to wait for more, so here is a CAD of Desire, as you may have seen before:

Wow, been such a long time since I updated Desire. Anyway, I got new parts for her the other day:

This mount will prevent the shell pops off the motor.

The new shell is made out of a bit tougher aluminum aswell.

If you remember from AWS30, or any AWS for that matter, Desire has never been able to make proper fight without breaking down or just wont start.
So I was wonder if any of you could be kind and help me with some design, proper balancing the shell and advices. If you consider helping me I will send the shell, motor and base to your place to have a look at it.

At the moment I got the shell, which is mounted onto another piece of aluminium that is hold onto the motor with grub screws. See the above pictures. At AWS30 it was pretty balanced but still some uneven parts keeps the wheels of the ground.

Long time no reply.

Anyway, I have been looking for some new brushless motor for Desire, since the current one wont cooparate with the rest of the bot.
As I said, I have been looking but havent found any motor that has two flats ends, no parts sticking out or sloped edges.

Anyone who got some ideas for brushless motor?
