AWS Anniversary Video

Post by petec »

As the next WS is the 20th 'anniversary' of the event, I'm putting together a special DVD to mark the occasion. The DVD will contain the best video from all the events that film exists for (a couple never got video'd) including the finals, demo fights, footage from other events gone by and other bits and pieces - many never seen before on video.

So far I've edited up to and including WS6 but from here the process is slower because of the increased number of fights and ants. If any of you have favorite fights you'd like to nominate, video of your own you'd like to put forward (I'll pay for postage of any tapes/disks) or any other suggestions then this thread is where to go.

I will also be putting together a definitive ranking based only on results in the main WS competitions....who will be in the top 10? You may be surprised!!!

I found my AWS1 video and promo stuff the other day. I can get it onto video but am having issues capturing with sound.

You look back and realise how far antweights have come on.

Can't remember which one it was, think its AWS14 or something, but theres one where Mutant and Chimera fought that I love. The only one of the DVD's to have a soundtrack.

I vote for some footage of DBA vs EPZ at AWS18 :) I loved that fight.

Can't wait to see this, sounds awesome!

One that struck me was a WS3 fight between pants and Combatant - both with scalpel blades for weapons, and not a battlebox in sight - we were real men in those days :o

lol i remember seeing that online. Disk flys off, axe flys off. I think i remember some poor 4 year old kid standing right near the arena.
But when I started the following aws thankfully there was a nice huge peice of polycarb seperating me from the arena.
