I think i have proberly spent a fair bit, although like most ant builders i tend to ignore the price and just get what i need. The only thing i have bought for this aws is a new valve for anticipation which is amazing by my standards. Although i have new bits planned
well Anto XP1HP came very close to costing ?400 on its own, since aws8 i've spent about ?50 on every new ant i've built and about ?100 on the first few antos. but someone mentioned ?500 on a heavy, well I'm on the 3rd version of Tanto and 2nd version of TX-108 my other heavy, plus the 3 previous heavys i built. if ur really trying to compare costthe newest version of Tanto which is nearly 18moths old now has cost in the reigon of ?5000 and he is being retired soon for the new version to replace her. thats just version 3 btw not including the 2 others.
its not a cheap sport but i've not had this much fun since found out the explosive properties of Dr Pepper
does any one know how to get hold of REALLY CHEAP servos as i want the guts of them as they cand be converted into an 'H' bridge driver that is compatible with a srvo
I picked up some second-hand standard servos from SMC for ?3.50 each.
Don't forget a servo board will be designed to work with a particular motor. If you try to use a servo board from a 5g micro-servo it may not last long driving a much larger motor.
