I picked up some second-hand standard servos from SMC for ?3.50 each.
Don't forget a servo board will be designed to work with a particular motor. If you try to use a servo board from a 5g micro-servo it may not last long driving a much larger motor.

15 quid, and it was very fast and uncontrolable.

and useless.

but it was my first, and its now broken... =(

on decent ones, around 150-200 quid.

Think about this way I started off by buying two transmitter sets. Dont ask
