Arenas

Post by BeligerAnt »

As promised, I have put up some details of my battlebox (and my modular arena).
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/g0xan/robots/arena.htm
If anyone wants to build an arena for a future event, I will happily bring the battlebox along.
Details of the arena requirements to fit the battlebox are on the web page.

How about some pix of the other arenas in this topic so people can "compare & contrast" ?

"No corners to hide in"

No kidding! lol. my whole strategy out the window when I was fighting in there...survived every fight in Pete's arena, lost every fight in this one! :P

Which probably means its a better one, as it allows a fight rather than my tactic of hiding.

The no corners to hide in is great, and it makes the fights more competative. The height of the walls is also right, as pushers struggle, but lifters and flippers can send ants over the top.

Not at the moment, but I'll get some done - need something to give it a sense of scale - perhaps I can get a ?1 coin to sit in the ruts...

Good idea Josh, just remember to keep the obstacles close engough to the floor so that our low ground clearance robots can negotiate it.
