This is my first and only bot. Haven't thought of a name for it yet as its a work in progress as it doesn't have a working power switch and is completely unweaponised :cry:. But its looking pretty nice (all show and no go) so i thought i would share it anyway.

This is Betsie as she competed at AWS55. Hopefully she will return, upgraded, at AWS56.

At AWS55 she was slow and controlled, but had little traction and could not keep up with faster opponents.

I saw betsie at 55 and thought it was pretty slow. Does it use motors as drive?

Betsie was pretty slow at AWS55. I used some motors from China with whatever ratio, I think 100:1, which seemed too slow.

Betsie was back at AWS56 with many updates, including much faster motors. Not only is she a lot faster, the arena was also smaller, this probably explains why I drove twice into the pit (did I get the record for quickest legal battle loss?)

on both occasions they were N20 form-factor motors (no servos in Betsie).

@Alexandorz,

That robot looks absolutely amazing. I love the countersunk machine screws, the matt black finish, the professional construction. Those rear fins look awesome. It's a winner for me before it even competes.

How quick did you fall off then? Annoying when that happens isn't it?
