My three replacement boards turned up today that banggood sent me because the first three blew. Just soldered the first one up, forward, backwards, forwards... pop, pop, flash, smoke, smoke.

Followed by me replying to the replacement board email and asking for a full refund. I'm done with these boards, 1 out of 6 working isn't great. :P

I suppose I was just lucky. My DasMikro seems to be holding up ok so far.

They're back in stock!

I know I shouldn't, but I'm buying another one. Hopefully it's a new batch without whatever defect it had that caused them to asplode.

Slightly more expensive also. Need to make their money back. Very tempting!

Shame they didn’t just make a v2. Maybe they didn’t get enough\any feedback.

I'm looking at the DasMikro 2s6a now on Banggood - How have people's experiences been with them more recently? Are the chips still made out of Explodium?
