Looks awesome.

Adding a wedge would be good. The pink oink 🐷 robots won loads of fights with just a simple wedge.

The Third Law rebuild is well underway! He didn't need rebuilding per se, he was working fine, but I wanted a new project and rebuilding him was going to be lots cheaper than a whole new bot project. Plus - there were a bunch of ways to make him better.

Because unlike Manticore with his toffee hammer, I reckon this one could actually be quite competitive with enough driving practice.

Still lots to do but it's coming together. Main new features are weight and height now let me use Shakey's wheels rather than pololu ones for wider tires and hopefully lots more pushing power and most importantly he's got a proper front wedge piece now!

Looks great! I love the lexan bots like this where you can see all the gubbinz inside.
With 4 wheel motors, which batteries do you go for? Still a 2S 200-300mah ?

A 180mah is still far more than enough for a 4wd bot. I've run weaponed 6wd robots (taxing 2 motors to power all the wheels) off that size happily.

Yup 180mah ones here. And yeah they last a good amount of time.

And Eddie haha strangely enough I'm the opposite, I prefer the look of the polycarbonate after painting. I'm not done drilling and sanding yet or it would be black already.

Ahh that's good to know. Are they any types of bots which would warrant a larger battery? Big spinners perhaps? Batteries with a very high C rating?

Im sure it will be rocking the stealth ninja-black look! :D Plasma-nitrite coated polycarb then, right? ;)

I think i just like the clear polycarb since Terrorhurtz is my fave HW bot

The highest I run right now is DHMIS with a 210mah battery with a VERY high C rating. The spinup of that robot is fairly brutal for it electrically. It can happily run a whole match on that though.
