Looks suspiciously horizontal-spinner :)

Carbide-like ?

Robots: Betsie - RaspberryPi controlled flipper bot with gyro stablisation - too clever for her own good?
Stacie - tidy flipper; 4wd driven by hair bands

Pretty much Carbide/witchdoctor(USA)/Shrapnel(Aussie)

No post unfortunately. I may have to pop down the hack space to make the spinning bar.

Really wish I could make 30th 🤬😕... 13th October will have to be my debut.

My 3 robots are complete, maybe some cosmetic stickers will be added. All made weight and size.

Flip-it, Drax Power and Drax

I’ve put 1000RPM n20 motors in Drax Power....A little too fast?

3D printing is fun...

If you want to print this here is the link...it does not fit in a 4inch cube though...

Club news!

The next tournament is fully under way. Nearly all the teams have made flipper robots.

They actually work! Here's proof...

Here are the robots

It's been a super fun year. Hopefully I can expand the club and start running some public competitions.

Finaly I’ve completed a DIY only robot using arduino and other modules.

This is nothing new and been done many times before however I wanted a cheap alternative to buying all these expensive ESC and Tx/RX packages. Allowing this hobby to be more accessible to even more people. Students at my school were put off building their own projects when I told them the prices for all the items. The total cost for everything in this project was under £20.

I was thinking of writing a guide on how to build one of these. Would that be of interest to anyone?

A guide would be great, one day I would love to introduce a club at my school.

I would also be interested and as you say any schools or clubs would find it a cheaper way into antweights.

It’s been a while...

From frustration of still not being able to make it to any antweight events...I’ve been spending my hours enjoying the 3D printing hobby. I’ve designed a new robot called Dennis, a Christmas tree with LEDs and drawn up my Flip-it robot on CAD so I can print that as well. Plus printed loads of things off thingiverse including this awesome pumpkin for Halloween.

My New Years resolution will be to attend an antweight competition!! 😂 hehe

Time to catch up on the forums and see what you’ve all been up too.
