Hello All
Working on a Ant project that requires the following for its motors:
Max width 35mm (not including shafts)
ideally 3mm d shafts
The standard ant motor (the one on Rorys kits) is a bit too long to put both in line. I was wondering if there was an equivalent to you knowledge that either had a 90 degree shaft or was about half the length. or if there is a dual motor unit that would be less than 35mm wide.
Thanks
Micro motor

Re: Micro motor
You must have a very tight bot if the standard motors don't fit...

Re: Micro motor
There are not many choices of good metal geared motors for ants.
If width is a problem and you can have reasonable size wheels I usually design the chassis and motor to fit inside the wheel as below.

Re: Micro motor
Good ideas
This is what I am working on:
The gap between is quite small. but i have a fair amount or area around.
Was debating doing somthing with offset motors and drive belts

Re: Micro motor
I've been working on a offset geared drive system (minus tires):
Not got it right yet, and it doesn't work as good as I hope. But it's an idea!
