Hi New Member and Team

Post by bigsi111 »

Hi Everyone, I'm Simon, I've been lurking this past week and bought one of Rory's fantastic kits for me and my 12 year old son Xander to design a robot. He needs to be busy over summer or he'll drive his mum bonkers!

Rory's told me about the 50th Championship this coming Saturday and as Basingstoke is less than an hour away by car, we're coming down to see what our really basic bot can do. TBH, we're just looking forward to seeing what everyone's done.

We've decided to call out team, Die Sexy, as we're gonna die, so mihght as well do it in styl

Already getting stuck in! If you can get the lid a bit lower so it can run both ways up and put a little scoop of somekind on the front you'll have a strong contender!

Okay, going really basic as you can see from following photos. Ideally I want to do something with a flipper, but too busy, so this will do. It's invertible, or will be...and there's gonna be a weapon of sorts.

Really looking forward though to seeing the works of art from everyone else!

Thanks, it's certainly basic, although the three layer chassis is pretty good and light
