I simply don't have anymore passion for this and really don't care about it anymore I'm not roboteer material and honestly I think my mates would love to have an ant especially one who was asking about ants and another who is thinking of one day building one. For know completion of this thing is either a maybe or unlikely I don't know.

2 friends who would be interested in building one too?
Sounds like you have a great group of friends who would be fun to have mini battles with!
You see the likes of my bot and peter wallers bot being discussed in the top newest threads are complex 3d printed designs, but we all started out the same way. my first one was cardboard from a cat food box, took matter of hour to make and far less time to break but it was a hook.

I havn't been in any battles, but when i can i will. People start off small and really enjoy it.
My next bot was just hot glued into an old laptop battery pack, was good and led me to wanting to develop a weapon. I bought a motor and controller, yes extra money but the stuff i got was no more than £12, and i had a new bot with a weapon.

I would just say put it together, not even sticking to the dimensions, glue it onto a CD, and drive around, maybe some plastic cups to drive into/around and you will soon learn the ways of a Roboteer!

Then your friends will want to drive and have a go, then you have some competitors!

One lives in Manchester now and the over was only asking how it worked I don't think they would do it. Anyways Titanomyrma was at one point going to have an interchangeable scoop system with one for spinners one for general combat one for vacuum bots and one for football but I doubt I will make the robot in the first place and anyways its been so long that I can find the dam thing anyways but it doesn't matter I will probably always just be a fan.

I have said this before, and I will say it again:

The majority of your posts regarding this bot across all forums and social media have been nothing but you acting all negative despite barely trying to accomplish anything. You work a little bit, get upset, and then come online to put yourself down as if that makes anything better. You can sit around and continue to call yourself names, or you can keep trying and actually get something done. I've gone through that sort of stuff before, and it gets me nowhere. All it does is waste time that could be better spent giving it a try.

No one cares if you first bot is a brick. It's your first bot, no one is expecting a masterpiece. Having a working bot is much better than a vapor bot that never gets made.

Image

This was my first bot. It came from a kit, but the top armor was finished the night before the event. My dad and I could have given up, but we didn't. It got second place at the event.

Here's an idea: go find the kit, mess around with some cardboard, and see what you come up with.

Just to reiterate:

NO ONE is expecting a winning design on the first try

NO ONE is expecting a masterpiece

NO ONE is expecting you to revolutionize the sport
