Never had a lipo fireball in all my years. Swelled a few, and stuck a disc through one accidentally, but they're a bit more stable than their reputation suggests. As with all things robot combat its good to handle with caution, but not kid gloves or anything. After all, your mobile phone and laptop/tablet all run on lipos and how many times have you had one of those fireball? We have to fly to AWS events and the airport security don't bat an eyelid at the 8, 9, 10 lipo packs I'm bringing through. There really isn't THAT much danger in antweight sized ones.

Ok thanks. Which charger would you recommend?

So the other NiMH packs arrived - the 210mah one is too heavy, but the 7.2v (6 cell) one works!! It has to be wired straight to the battery rather than through the receiver so I was concerned about it breaking, but it seems fine so far.
