Re: Team Crash Build Diary
Switch it to using Lipo batteries if you haven't already; it's probably the only sensible way to make it faster without spending a load on polou motors...

Re: Team Crash Build Diary
One problem, the servo has been super duper glued onto the battery with hot glue.

Hot glue will just come off if you do it carefully.

Re: Team Crash Build Diary
Hot melt glue will peel off if you can get at an edge to pick at it and cut away at it with a sharp knife.
If you heat it (carefully so as not to destroy the battery/servo) it will soften and eventually melt. If you soften it a little that should make it easier to cut/peel the parts apart once the glue has re-hardened.

Re: Team Crash Build Diary
Sorry I didn't have the internet for a day and a half,i didn't do anything speed wise but as it was an issue I bought some of Alex's wheels which I'm going to put on to give it more push and hopefully as they are bigger will give more speed too
Team Badger
Has a 3d printer now yay
-£4.82+VAT (intact)
-cool modulated printed thingy

Re: Team Crash Build Diary
Alright. On my to do list:
Start progress on the flea
Find out whatever is wrong with Crash this time
Buy some new wheels and tyres for RDR as the old ones got shredded.
I should have The Not So Grim Reaper working by late May, too soon as it's my birthday in a few days. Just need to build a chassis, get a kit then bam.

Re: Team Crash Build Diary
Looks like I've got two bots on my hands now. The Not So Grim Reaper hasn't had any progress, but my nano Boom Boom Boomerang might be a cluster. Unsure.

Looks like we're not coming to AWS47...I guess I have more time to build TNSGR.

Re: Team Crash Build Diary
So the flea cluster will now be called Ice and a Slice (you can probably work out their nano names). That's it pretty much. I should have both The Not So Grim Reaper and Ice and a Slice up by July. Hopefully. Probably not, knowing me, actually.
