Spektrum DX6 Mixing

Post by engr »

Hi All,

Is there a trick to getting the DX6 to mix on one stick nicely?
So far I have only managed to get it to work with only 50% throw full forwards, and 100% on the diagonals.
I can add a 'multiplier' but then the channels go over 100% on the diagonals...

Is this a common problem or have I missed something?

Cheers,

Chris

Someone will probably be able to help you by talking it through on here but I know the best way I got to know what to do with my transmitter was to search on youtube for tutorial videos. I learnt a lot in about 20mins, and is always nice to have a visual to refer to. I'd suggest trying that.

I am saved by Rorys N2LV which has inbuilt mixing.
I am sure there is a way but pretty much all the help online is for the DX6i so is hard to follow.

Are you talking about the black DX6 (the one I have) or the DX6i?

I could help you with the DX6 and yes, it is quite a fiddly process with more trial and error involved more than anything!

I find mixing manual mixing tedious and a lot of transmitters don't do it which is why my controllers have it built in unless requested otherwise.

I'm looking forward to seeing what creations you come up with :)

Yeah its the black DX6. Well its nice to know its possible. It's definitely more complicated than the old 40MHz days.
I think I have most of the stuff I need now, I've been trying to dig out photos of the old robots...

It's not too bad once you get the hang of it; there's no messing around with crystals at least :) Have still got any of your original ants intact?

Loved Serpant.

Did Defiant ever make combat? Not sure I've ever seen it fight and I've seen most AWSs.

I found parts of them, but all the batteries are dead. But I think in time i will design a successor for each.

I think it did, there were a few iterations of it, I think this is a very blurry picture at AWS7:

I am not entirely sure what AWS i attended. I remember atleast one at reading uni, and one in Brighton, oh and robot wars extreme.
