If you want to use a minimum of engineering you could try making something out of a metal ruler, as those helpfully have the lengths on them already, or ask Will about the discs he made/makes for people.Also I've generally found for most antweight spinner motors a tiny 6A controller (example) will work, since - in my experience with The Hurting on 2S at least - you have to be deliberately trying to break it to draw more than 8 amps for a few seconds, and one of your other components is probably going to pop before the speedo will.
