No robot I've ever made has taken me longer than an evening.

hi guys. pre event update. mum mounted the motor for me while i was at school and when i got home i fitted the front ramp, soldered and mounted the switch and figured out how everything will sit inside without being bitten by the disc. now i just need to bind it and make a lid and then it's job done. :)

It should already be pretty well balanced (I did it while I tested the mount) if not just adjust the screws a tad. :)

Good luck Dan, be careful. Spin it up somewhere well out the way first time. Or under a box or something.

Don't worry Dave we put it under a box. It gets a bit difficult to control at full throttle but I suppose that's spinners for you. It looks awesome and the motor we've got should give it some power in its hits. I wonder who will be its first victim...

From the video, the disc looks quite far ahead of the wheels, which will be why it's a little tricky to drive.. but it certainly didn't look uncontrollable so you should be fine. You also might want a little inset at the bottom of the motor mount to expose more of the disc... Looking forward to seeing it in action tomorrow :)
