The smart ant's and flea's

Postby Lincoln » Mon Nov 03, 2014 4:06 pm

I think the smart ants need a page of there own so I have made one
Aws 45 whent pritty well for us whith sfbb beating nuts and smart ant 3 wining 3 fights and very narrow losing another
Smart ant 1 ( which we think is the oldest still running ant ) only being damaged in the annihilator at the end
Mean garden pot being its normal self
And smat ant 2 was not driving straight making it very hard to control
Chocolate chip having to be cut down to fit ( Dave)

The company my dad works for has just spent £15000 on a 3d printer
And the best bit I will be able to print with it so expect some robots that actually work from us :) :)

you have some awesome robots dude! smart ant three is one of the best looking robots i've ever seen and mean garden pot is pretty cool for a walker. good luck with the 3D printed robots by the way. :)

:) the 3d printer is arriving this week. :)
We have also now got a edf fan, a motor for a new spinner, 2 speed controlers, some 2 cell lipos and a partridge in a pear tree. Some of you know that we use a costom pcb as the brain of the robot but the one we use coud be made smaller so we are making a new version that will be smaller and lighter. I am making a new walker that might end up as a new mean garden pot

Will the new Mean Garden Pot actually have blades this time? That would be awesome!

Change of plan we are coming to the ant freeze. :)
The 3d printer is up and running now, are 1st test piece came out perfectly, so we are now going to start doing a lot of 3d printing. Thanks to pete we are now going to start moulding are own tyres and 3d printing the wheels and moulds
I have ideas of a 3d printed mean metal disk (get it mean garden pot, mean metal disk) that's going to be a walker probably.
we are also getting the parts to make a nano.
so with lots of robots in the pipe line 2015 will be the year of 3d printed robots for us :) but none of them will be ready before ant freeze but they should be ready for aws 46

nano parts, the silicone for the tyres and some new 2 cell lipos, as the ones we got before only had the balance plug and not the discharge plug, are all ordered :)
now just need to check all the existing robots are working
