Its not *supposed* to be cut but you can remove it for antweight purposes. All my RX's are without aerials for one reason or another.
For my stuff:

You could possibly the the case off of the receiver which in my case shed 7g. Could be more for your one as it is a bigger rx. Good luck getting it to run inverted!

Have you tried re-binding the transmitter? That could be the problem. Also try changing the transmitter batteries as they might have run down.
The robot's battery should also be charged just in case that's the problem.
Hope that helps!

Currently looking for batteries and bind plug
Re: team playzooki or whatever im gonna call it
Changing transmitter batteries didnt work, and the transmitter powers off after 30 seconds. I think there might be something wrong with the transmitter
EDIT
Good news! Jaguar lives!
Bad news! only for a minute at a time. I may have to switch the transmitter off and back on again halfway through matches. Or win quickly. Not likely with my driving style since i usually try to get to the sides of things
EDIT 2: transmitter as a mind of it own. Have to tilt it & stuff to get it to work. I think i may need a new transmitter.

if it's the transmitter that's an issue it's not the end of the earth. although expensive brand new you can get some very decent bargains on ebay.

that's the model I use and it's never failed me so far. if your reciever has DSM2 compatability then it'll just be a case of re binding it. if not, something like this will do the job: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AR6100E-2-4GH ... _RadioCont

Re: team playzooki or whatever im gonna call it
ok so what happened is i asked for a chassis and the whole robot arrived :V
Problem is, I cant bind the reciever even with alex's instructions because i dont know how to solder :/
Re: team playzooki or whatever im gonna call it
You don't need to solder to bind the RX; just poke the bind wire through the bind holes in the RX (behind the throttle channel, labled 'Bi' in tiny writing) and turn it on.
