That blade looks awfully high up; most verticals aim to keep the blade a mm or two off the ground to help it get bite..

i know, i am planning to drill some more holes to bring it down a centimetre or so. should get plenty of bite then but i think sadly self righting is still going to be an issue. i might have a look at the possibility of a role bar or something to get it back on it's wheels when flipped. that's if the invertability plan fails.

Yeah, I'd try and make it so the wheels still touch the ground when upside down; usually need a sloping back for that.

i'll deffinitely aim for that. hopefully it'll get a few more decent hits once i bring the blade down and the ability to drive upside down and self right should make this version a bit more successfull than the last one.

Looks like you have been busy.
I almost bought some gaffer tape today I was in Asda and got as far as picking some up in a nice shade of red which would have matched my robots but couldn't quite bring myself to buy it.

ha ha :) this time Hogi has a piece of 2mm HDPE, 5 layers of duck tape, a piece of 1mm mild steel and then another 5 layers of duck tape on the front :) i'd like to see a spinner chew through all that lot!

one of ant2's servos burned out today so i guess it'll be going back to just being a flipper. oh well, at least it means i now don't have 2 grabbers in the main team, variety is good :)
