Besides a bit of charging and acetate, we are all ready here for the AWS on Saturday. Here are the final 3.

Duncan Hammertime is a powerful pushbot (IE boring) who I hope will cope fairly well and put up all of the money for 100%.

Similarly, Mobilicorpus has a good drive in it, plus it has a skull.

Finally, Gemma's last entry is The Other Scott Fyfe-Jaimeson

After Scott pointed out that we spelt his name wrong on the wedding invitation at the last event, Gemma joked that we'd accidentally given him the one meant for "the other Scott Fyfe-Jaimeson" instead, who spells his name that way, so we thought we'd bring him along this time. He is suited and booted and has wildly flailing windmill arms, a moustache and a strong desire to meet Ouchie.

I have also entered the smaller half of The Omnishambles into the fleaweight comp under the name Automatic Stinging Machine and will be upgrading my fleaweight Buggie Technica into an antweight on the day for Ceri to drive under the name Beaching Ice Tug (an anagram of Buggie Technica, in case you cared)

Looking forward to seeing everyone! Its a bit of a hardcore field this time so I'm expecting to make up the numbers but it'll be a laugh as usual. Providing our epic journey goes alright we'll see you all on Saturday morning!

Can we fix the draw for a Zenith/Evil Twin face off?

No, Rhys is using the new automated draw process in Antlog2 *crosses fingers and looks for the exit just in case*

Hola! Obviously my thread has been inactive for a bit due to missing the last AWS because of some wedding, but we're back now and starting to get ready for the one in March.
All I've done so far is rebuild Gemma's favorite robot from last time. Oh, and I drawed on it. But its a good start!

Definitely better than the first one, I wish I could draw things that accurately :) I actually saw someone at Calgary Expo cosplaying as a Roy Lichtenstein painting which was one of the best things I'd seen...</pointlesstrivia>

Are you doing another tracked robot for this one?

No tracks this time, they all seem to fail miserably for me. Just built something much more fun though. Details soon.

Fleaweight!

Half-Life II

Image

So basically, for the AWS in March I have decided to do a new version of my first ever AWS team, for pure nostalgic purposes. Hence this, Half-Life II, is named after my first ever fleaweight (and bares very little resemblance to the original, pictured below)
