BR3A speed controller from Hobbyking

Post by Roboteernat »

Hi All, was wondering if any one had any use of this dc speed controller from hobbyking?
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... otors.html

Its 9g but mostly due to cabling (net weight 0.4g apparently).

It does run from 1s lipo battery onlyv (3.7v) but can handle 5.5vmax, and may therefore be slow for the 6v G12 motors...

Any thoughts?

I am thinking of just getting an RX31 from Deltang with speed controllers, will this work with say, a Flysky fs-ct6 TX? or is it specific to the DSM2 controllers- "All of these receivers are fully compatible with Spektrum, E-flite, Parkzone and JR DSM2 2.4GHz transmitters and transmit modules." (i have a feeling reading this http://www.rcpowers.com/community/threa ... s-t6.13856 that this is not the case :( and i will have to buy a new TX, this is the reason i am looking at other options for speed control

Ok, well i will pass on them, however i am now looking at the Rx31, and wanted to ask, should i buy Rx31, Or Rx31-d?
The 'd' has been mentioned as the 'new' one, in a forum post on here, but was looking at the speed contrrollers (these are uni directional tho?) as this cound be handy for the future.

The Rx31-d seems to also solve the 'resistor in the ESC' throttle issue i been reading?

I aim to be running a custom ESC for brushed motors, Brushless ESC and a custom switched output.

I am using Zippy 350Mah 2S 20C lipo (may reduce) http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__ ... _20C_.html
so i think these are fine for the RX after regulating down to 5v with a voltage regulator.

Any thoughts? Rx31 or Rx31-d? I have bought some tx from ebay, those £10 DSM2 ones, so now need to make the RX :D
Hoping to purchase these later today!

Thanks for a quick response :)
