Twister

Post by Team Nuclear »

I finally got round to starting work on my new antweight, twister.
I'm going to keep the weapon a secret at the moment, but I assure you it will be good!

I got a bit bored today, so I decide to go into the workshop and see what needs doing.
I got a Baby-Orangutan, as inspired by Jim, as I was in need of a compact and light ESC capable of running 4 motors
I saw the baby-Orangutan, so I wired it up and programmed it, and just now a few tests.
here are the pics and results of the test...

no I defiantly wont be able to make aws next week, I'm aiming for another AWS later this year.

Lol, I could mount it ontop of the jet engine but I have a feeling it would melt it!
The jet engine was made to go on top of a rc car..

You mention in the video that you are going to drive 4 motors the baby Orangutan output chip is rated at 1.2A per channel continuous so you should just about get away with it if you don't stall the motors. As Jim says that is nice soldering and getting down to this level will give you a much better understanding of your robot operation.
