I must say that was a lucky hit on the side! Thanks for the advice on the dx6i, that's the one I'm looking at.....funds permitting. I think I'll be investing in some slightly smaller lipos also in the future to make way for some extra weight elsewhere, so those links will come in handy for me also :D Keep up the great work!

Thanks Jim, hehe...:') I'm not entirely sure you're sane if you want a poster of a robot with no sides on your wall, I might see a doctor about that! Thanks very much for the links, could do with some new cheap lipos :)

Sides are overated :)

Jim, am I right in saying there are 2 brushless's on Raoul, but only one is ever in operation? Or did you get it so both would work at once? Surely there'd be a lighter way of supporting the drum? A bearing or something?
I run all my robots on 180ah packs and never charge them during an AWS. Though I can imagine a spinner being a bit more of a draw on power (most of my spinners are out fairly quickly!)
I think I need to look into upgrading to a DX6i too, after the problems I had with trims at the last AWS. I am a bit low on funds at the moment, but I think I'll treat myself to one at some point, then the DX5 can go to Gemma. Are they easy to programme? (DX6is, not Gemmas...)

Hi Dave. Yup 2x motors, but only one used. You are right.I should make a simple blanking plate with a 3mm hole for a piece of steel tube for an axle, but it works as is,so why change it. :)
Programming the dx6i is not the most intuitive experience, but it is ok.Once you have done it a couple of times,it is fine.Plus once you have setup one model, you can copy the config, with the mixing, dual rates etc, to any other model, and just change any minor details. ALOT easier than programming a Gemma, anyway! :D

I've already programmed a Gemma, so it should be easy enough
