Jim, that wire current rating is based on temperature rise. At 2A the wire is getting warm (not sure how much temp rise) so you are losing volts and burning battery power in the wiring instead of in the motors!

Personally, I'd take the hit on a couple of extra grams and use some decent wire for the power circuits :) Should be OK for the signal wires though.

quick post.Got a couple of bits from shapeways.I thought I'd try out the new colours,the red is proper bright red.
And the purple is amazing,very deep,velvety.brilliant!

They do make the white look a bit shabby especially after you have handled it a few times.
If my two year old grandaughter, who is mad about purple, see that all my robots will have to be that colour in future.

indeed they do!!!
I got some wheels in polished white,but they still get a bit grubby!!!!
I highly recommend the purple this year,For the fashion conscious roboteer!!! :D

I've recently had Void's new chassis printed in red, and I agree that it looks awesome. Probably using that and black exclusively now.

quick video of new flipper.Just wanted to check that it could flip Raoul,as it is a different spec servo.
Not rolling yet,as babyO went pop,as It shorted on Ti chassis!! :(
Flipper seems to work well,and check out the wide wheels!!!! (30mm,Yeah baby!)
