Starting early for the AWS this time.

First up, one of Gemma's robots L-G

Image

We should also have Gemma's other competitors Stationary and Four Wheel Drive Square With A Bear On Top finished in the next week.

I've also finished 3 out of 4 of my team.

Clusterbot Frag Frog

Then Sebastian Muzzlewhale

Image

and Kellog's Corn Snake (one g to avoid copywright issues  )

Image

The fourth for my team is still in development, but will post when it's ready.

This is Make-A-Bot, which will be built and re-built several times at Brighton Mini Maker Faire. Everything plugs together like the Pants kit so it can be built without any need for soldering.

Are the pair of you aware of the semantic difference between 'stationary' and 'stationery', or is that a subtle indication that it's not working?

(only kidding - all of the new robots look amazing, I'll have to raise my game...)

My Ant for MMM14:

Black Carbon V2

Image
Image
Pusher, and how it looks like, the strongest Ant pusher which exists at the moment (and this with much underweight).
Motors: 4x1:35 Gearmotors
Wheels: XMODS slicks (soft) which I will make still more gripiere than now (you never can have enought grip :D ) 2wheels per motor....
Controller: 2 Micro Ant FR
receiver: Ar500
Lipo: 180mha 2s1p 25C Turnigy (has the size of 130mha 2s1p fullriver)
Amour: 1mm Carbone (extreme strong plane Carbon) And 0,75 soft carbon on the upside
Weight: 80g 8)
Specials: under ground light (but a little bit too dark :/ )
And there is no position in which you could set the Ant at the wall. It alway slides on his wheels and can drive away :D
Think that was all :D

It looks not as good as Black Carbon V1 or Pushmaster, but i think it looks ok :D

Gemma's final robot for the AWS.

Four Wheel Drive Square With A Bear On Top

Not really a "square" I guess but the weapon works....well, I say works...."moves" would probably be a better description.

Should we phonetically call it "Fwuduswabot?

Also, does the bear have a name? Should it be wearing a nametag, given antweight rules?

No phonetics! If she'd wanted to call it "Fwuduswabot" she would have! lol. It rolls off the tongue pretty easily I think :-).
And it weighs 150g on the nose so I can't give the bear a name tag, so he best just be called "bear"

Built from a load of scrap parts, this one will be driven by Ceri in the AWS.
