Cheers Joey.
It is made from 1.5mm woven glass fibre sheet.
As for the holes,I mark them out with a fine marker, then I tap each hole using a wood screw and a hammer, just to give a guide for the drill. Then I start with a 2mm hole and go up in 1mm increments until I have the right size. Takes a while, but I love that sort of thing! :o

There's usually some sort of engineering award at an AWS. Looks like someone might give Pete a run for a change.

I am on chassis number 3 so far! I am waiting for sussex model centre to get some more glass fibre board in,as I have gone through their entire stock!! (they dont keep alot in stock! )
I have a couple of offcuts of the 1.6mm thick pcb material what sort of size are you after.

I am after a piece 40mm x 50mm,and a piece 60mm x 90mm.
But to be honest, they are not that important.
I would however like some info on tx mixing, with a dx6i.
I have the elevon wingtailmix activated, and although it does work as expected,it is definately not at full speed in any direction.
Is there a pre set mix that works? or do you need to set up the mix levels by hand. And if so,does anyone have a list of the settings????
I got Bruce wrking fine setting up mix1 and mix 2,but the same settings are not working with the gear motors!?! :-?
Any help much appreciated.

I built my first ant from PCB that came from maplin. They're more likely to have a larger stock of it than SMC although you might want to remove the copper from them before using them.

I have just posted a couple of bits of PCB off to you.
If it is a DX6i you are using you have to set the two mixers as follows.
Mix the Aile(left/right) with the elev(forw/back) and then the Elev with the Aile see below for menu options.

MIX1
ELEV + AILE ACT
RATE L -100% R -100%
SW ON TRIM ACT

MIX2
AILE + ELEV ACT
RATE D +100% U +100%
SW ON TRIM ACT

That self right is brilliant.
