Technobots are a good place to get them and 30:1 is on the fast side, but it works and I get the impression speed really is what you want
Technobots can also sell you brackets to mount the motors with ( http://www.technobots.co.uk/acatalog/Sh ... 1451_2d100) and wheels ( http://www.technobots.co.uk/acatalog/Sh ... _1187.html, http://www.technobots.co.uk/acatalog/Sh ... s_421.html) that fit the motor shafts so you don't need to make your own hubs.
Speed controllers...both the Sabertooth 2x5A for RC (available from Technobots) and Peter Waller's various boards (available from Peter Waller) work very well, I never had any issues with either although the Sabertooth is a bit more user friendly if it's your first experience. It also weighs more though.

The high powered 50:1 motors with a UK seller, they also do the sabertooth and some wheels if you want to order from one place.
They definitely have much more torque and are a bit faster than the standard 30:1 motors.
I've just bought a couple myself because, quite frankly, the standard 100:1 motors that I put in stack error 2 sucked.
Only 2 left though

Jordon I see you found the link I was going to send you I am going to check with them to see if they are expecting more stock of the 50:1 HP's. I will send them a link to this page so if anyone else is interested in buying some of these I suggest you post here and we may persuade them to hold a larger stock.

I have just heard back from Robot Bits which was a quick response and apparently there was a mistake on their website and they infact have 8 in stock and more due in about 10 days. I was looking for 6 but I am not desperate so I won't order them until tomorrow in case any one else wants some. Although they may appear slightly dearer than direct from the USA by the time you have paid the import VAT and the post office charge of ?8 to collect it they are in fact cheaper.
Sorry about the spelling Jordan the brain starts to go at my age.

The exact batteries I bought have disapeared from ebay, there are some larger capacity ones but they weigh more (29g)

Also, I just walked into maplin with my battery and asked for some pin strip and the guy came back with some which managed to fit first time.
I think I bought this stuff though http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Mod ... 0&T=Module, I'll measure the distance betwwen the pins to check when I find some of it.
