If you already have a Radiolink 2.4GHz system, why do you want a 40MHz set? If you want a second set, go for another Radiolink - they're cheaper than the 40MHz sets and you get far less problems with interference from motors etc.haz wrote:yeah. um, where can i find a cheap-ish 40mhz tx,rx, batery, servo thing?
Since the 2.4GHz receivers bind to their respective transmitter you can happily use several sets in close proximity without any problems with interference.

Normally the only way you get a massive failure on connecting the battery is by connecting it the wrong way round. Normally connecting the servos reversed does not cause damage but connecting the battery to the receiver the wrong way round is likley to blow both the receiver and servos. If this was the first time you tried the servo after modifying it that could also be the problem. I suggest you check to see if you could have connected the battery incorrectly and if not try testing the receiver by running it with an unmodified servo if you have one.
What voltage is the battery?
