Weight Loss Plan (for robots!)

Post by BeligerAnt »

The new version of RONNY is struggling to lose enough weight in time for the AWS28 weigh-in. Despite drilling 500 holes in him :o he is still a bit too heavy.

All that's left to work on is the receiver and battery pack. Can anyone suggest a fast, reliable supplier of 130-145mAh LiPos? Alternatively any 40MHz receiver significantly lighter than the current Hitec micro Rx? It needs to be available ex-stock in the UK for me to stand any chance of getting it sorted out by next weekend.

Hope someone can help...

atomic workshop (.co.uk) sell nice 130 cells, they tend to put pretty fast post on their items. Not too sure about RXs, there are some 2g ones out there that use JST connectors and micro xtals.

Everything half decent for ants on Atomic Workshop is sold out whenever I go on. They seem to have given up.

I have a 4g receiver that is Hitec compatible if you want it Gary. It has a micro crystal though, and its 725, dunno if its any use. You can use a normal xtal if you bend the pins :)
