I've been thinking.....

Well, I've been thinking about a new bot. Spinners are great and powerful but they end up throwing themselfs out of the ring. So I then thought a flipper. What is what im still thinking. But then i saw this vid

Yes these are UK antweight and yes that is a hammerbot getting it's hammer stuck in the arena floor. What do you think is making this little hammer go so fast and powerful?

That is one ant hammer that may do damage.

My first guess is that he springloads it. he pushes the hammer back, compresses a spring and then lets go.

As Peter pointed out those ants are not UK ants, but 1 lbs US ants. Our antweight class is their Fairyweight class.

Reminds me of Headache. That was a UK ant with a hammer that worked on the same principal. Often was too powerful for its own good though

oh 1lb. The 1lb I see are bigger. So i gess i though those were UK

and I looked at the data base. That help alot. The only thing i don't get though. It says Weapon Power: other. So I'm gessing a spring or elastic.

But the thing with that is he can bring it back and keep it there untill he wants it to release. So do you thinkhe has a locking arm?
If so how?

Still thinking. A good working hammer would do more damage then a flipper if there are sides and no pits on the arena.
