I do that too, but only to make people think I've got really cool big-name sponsors :P

hey peoples,
i want to run a brushless esc with a wally option d board or the orange dsm2 hobbyking one, how should i do this?

just hurt my finger on the drum spinner, cracked the nail, drew blood and has left a nice black mark under the skin, should be good to see what it does to plastic.

any tips on balancing the drum?

Ouch,man! :(
Those are the breaks, when playing with spinny things!
With raoul,I ran the brushless esc directly from the battery, same with the controller board, just using the signal wire from the controller board servo output to connect to the brushless esc servo signal input line,(the white or yellow wire usually.)
Worked for me,anyway! :o
As for balancing drums,I tried adding bits of bluetack to the inside of the drum at various points to reduce the vibration, the plan was to then weigh the bluetac and put extra bolts on the teeth on the lighter side. Proved to be pretty difficult.(to the point when I gave up!) Should work in theory though!
Cheers Jim. :)
