Making your lifting arm from HDPE would help. If you can make the robot smaller (which you can once you have gotten the smaller battery) that would help.

Drilling lots of holes helps in extreme circumstances.

These are quite old as some of you would have seen them at AWS 32, but I'm going to make them official anyway.

E.B.O.G's Revenge

Power: Overlander 4.8v 400mAh Nimh (soon to be lipo)
Controller: Barello ant 100
Motors: 4x inertia labs 50:1
Armour: 1mm polycarbonate, 0.5mm polyproperline, 1mm HDPE (interchangeable)
Weapons: wedge, scoop for football.

Inersiant

Power: 4.8v 120mah i/4 AAA Nimah
Controller: Barello ant 100
Motors: 2x inertia labs 50:1
Armour: 1-2mm HDPE
Weapons: 100psi pneumatic flipper

Inersiant still has a major leakage problem at the moment, however I will hopefully enter it to a few more events before I take it apart again.

Just a question are: Assailant, Contaminant and Accelerant taken for names?

Also what do you wreckon to a full body spinner with extendable arms?

Those are not names I've heard of, but they are all good names :)

The extendable arms idea would work, not sure how effective it would be.

Great! I would have to make the extending arms quite strong but it should work. What would you suggest for motors in order to get the fastest spin?

If you're going to do a proper spinner you need some manner of Brushless motor, however I am not the authourity on whats the best. Pete Waller would be your better bet.

Arcus is finally done :) I'm not certain it fits in the cube but I wasn't really intending it to enter official AWS events, it's more of a showbot.
