I am really, really, hoping mine will not get drawn against those in the first round.
So well built, so scary.

Re: Peter Wallers Robot Ramblings
I'm looking at the NCV7708B chip, which can be configured as 3x H-bridge, and would give bidirectional control to three motors (or three channels) https://octopart.com/ncv7708bdwr2g-on+semiconductor-12962441?r=sp&s=CDE4JHB7Rh23M-qcsFmFlA But it uses the SPI interface for communication, the micro...

Re: Walker rule clarification? Unusual design.
Would a bristle-bot or similar be allowed if it has no (visible?) rotating components in the drive? A vibration-motor or solenoid powered drive system?
(NB: I don't have any plans to build one)

Re: Pneumatic Robot
It is not a binary choice; geared motors can drive a flipper pretty well (in my experience). You don't need to use a servo, which includes lots of gubbins that you don't really need and an inconvenient package (perhaps)

Re: AutoBot
Unlucky.
Something probably a bit less technical but similar happened to my Raspberry Pi antweight. It seems that the Raspberry Pi Zero W does not like 18v on its 5v input, it made it rather unhappy. I don't know yet whether the sd card survived, I hope so.

Re: Posting photos
Scale the picture to a moderate size, then the board lets you upload them.
I scaled mine this to 400x200 or something. I think the maximum file size is 250k or something.
Obviously a jpg has better compression so a bigger image size would be allowed.

What is it with Americans and imperial units?
Honestly, I thought we'd all grown out of this insane inches, feet, 0.10" stuff by now. Anyone else look at materials and components on US-based web sites or manufacturers and just want to cry? Ok, so some components have datasheets only available in Chinese, but at least their mechanical schem...

Re: AutoBot
Sorry to hijack your thread, but what do you think about this new H-bridge chip?
TB67H420FTG
It is tiny and powerful, but difficult to solder. I also don't know where to buy them.
