I think we must take Stu at his word, but like Simon says, don't wait until the event to talk. Talk to us now - either on this board or via email and we should be able to provide an arena and more than enough ants for a decent competition. (I estimate 15 easily, probably more) However, we need to so...

As I hinted in the AWS16 thread, I could run AWS17, but I'd rather let someone else have a go if they want to. I'm also aware that Brighton is about as far south as you can go (without getting wet!) so may not be too convenient for those who live in the far north (Bucks  ) So there's the offer...

Further proof, if proof were needed, that marketing departments don't know their **** from their elbow! Perhaps I should seek a professional opinion from my brother? (Works in marketing  ) Or maybe life's too short... Seriously, how do they expect us to make wheels for fleaweights out of the e...

RampAnt uses 2xSD200's (unmodified) plus a (Naro HP) lifter. It has big wheels (about 70mm I think) to improve the speed a bit. I think it has been our most reliable robot to date. The SD200's seem to take everything in their stride. The Brighton Uni kits used for the SetPoint / Children's Universit...

http://www.bolts-nuts-washers.com/index2.html have some, you will have to ask about mail ordering. Unfortunately this company states that it will not deal with members of the public. Sadly, this is all too common. Also I notice that Farnell have increased their minimum order to ?20 for a credit car...

Hi Scott For custom design and manufacture you need deep pockets! I know contract rates are around ?30/hour. Fortunately I have been looking into speed controllers but never got round to much past the paper design stage. However, I do have a plan and some parts to play with, now all I need is some t...

Very interesting Simon. As far as I can figure out from what I've seen, NTL very kindly (?) put an index.html file in your root directory when you create your account. Their server then seems to prefer index.html over index.htm. Also, if you delete the index.html file, leaving your own index.htm, th...
