I haven't been to Howes Models since they moved to Kidlington but they were in the centre of Oxford for many years and were a very reputable shop. I assume they are still the same people.

There should be no problem running Hitec receivers with Futaba transmitters I have been doing it for years. The only thing is to make sure the receiver crystals are Hitec in Hitec receivers.

You can buy small sheets of Polycarbonate from good model shops if you don't want to buy online. If you have a toothless disc how will it work.
