Re: Pop!

So they worked... to an extent. Need a few more hours to dry fully, I had them over a hot water bath to try and allow all the bubbles in the solution to surface and escape through the event, there were a few more bubbles than I would have liked, but they're not a big issue. I'll print some more hubs...

Re: Pop!

I'm currently almost literally watching paint dry... I've turned some aluminum molds to make up wheels. inside are 3D printed hubs surrounded by some slow setting shore 14a silicone rubber, in a repulsive mint green. we'll see how they turn out in 48 hours... http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b330/j...

Re: Brighton Mini Maker Faire 8th September 2012

Hi Gary,

I can probably come down for the day if needed, I'll sort out a drive all day or two and some other robots for display/demo

Re: Pop!

I'm starting to get through all the parts, a few more fixings and caps to finish and some holes to bore in the tank for a fill valve. I've gone with a fixed buffer as the dual moving buffer tanks seemed a bit fragile. I've made up some molds to try and mold some wheels from silicone. Not a lot else....

Re: AWS 38 - Brighton 7th July

I'm afraid I won't be able to make this one either, far too much work has got in the way. Hopefully I will get something finished for the next one.

Re: Boost Circuits

sorry yes about 200-250 ma burst for 0.5s. I do have one of those actually but it's a tight fit. I'm struggling to find anything much smaller really.

Boost Circuits

I've used several boost units in the past but they are all too large to fit inside the new chassis. I need to boost a 2 cell lipo to 12v to activate a couple of solenoid valves. They will only be activated for 0.5s bursts. Weight and size are some what limited with it being a struggle to fit even Fi...

The metal one I'm still refining, working on a revised gasket and looking for 3g in the chassis

Re: Pop!

I finally got a chance to put the prototype together. All fits and works nicely, few pieces that need better supporting and I've found the areas I can reduce weight in. Straight away the cylinder/arm mechanism works much better and has a very smooth action so should work in theory! Oh and I angled t...

Will the fibreglass blade hub hold for an impact with a disk that long?
