Re: My 3d Printing saga

Great help.

I have PLA at the moment. Been having issues with it not sticking to the bed. Had some luck with masking tape and a glue stick. What would be good temps to use.

Got solid inspector 2. Will look into the others. Do i need solid inspector 1 also?

My 3d Printing saga

I have decided to dabble into the world of 3d printing. I have got a Malyan m200. I wanted to create this post to ask some questions. My first is with somthing like a ant chassis do people use rafts or brims on their prints. On a more general note. Whats people's prefered choices for geting a stl fi...

Micro motor

Hello All Working on a Ant project that requires the following for its motors: Max width 35mm (not including shafts) ideally 3mm d shafts The standard ant motor (the one on Rorys kits) is a bit too long to put both in line. I was wondering if there was an equivalent to you knowledge that either had ...

Re: Peter Wallers Robot Ramblings

How do you attach the motors in your drive units? Are they screwed in from the front?

3D printing

Greetings

Beginning to muck around with 3D modeling using sketch up. Eyeing up using it for antique stuff. Probably a big and vague question but what's a good way to approach 3d printing?

Is it, for example, worth investing in a printer? If so what materials are best for printing?

Any thoughts?

Re: Walks robot goodness

That's been very usefull. I think the design I have in mind qualifies as a shuffler.

Allways been interested in making a true walker but that will have to wait for a bit.

Walks robot goodness

Having robot ideas. But before designing I wanted to know what qualifies as a walker. The design I'm thinking is what I'd call a cam walker with a single "ski" on either side and a turn table in the centre for steering (like stomp in series 3). But as a more general question. What is the c...
