Re: Best glue for wheely loose wheels?

cool - i only just bought some Loctite, in case it was needed. :) i also have the option of hot glue, and Araldite, but I suspect the Araldite won't set in time.

Good point about the gearbox. There is a good chance that I'll destroy everything! :P

Best glue for wheely loose wheels?

Hi chapses! I found out last night that Pimoroni motors have a slightly smaller diameter than my Hobbyking motors, and my Pololu wheels just fall right off of them. I could use some Shakey wheels if needs must, but they're boring black, so I was wondering what kind of glue is best for keeping wheels...

Re: Team BLEEP build diary

1 weekend left, so I guess it must be time to scrap everything I've done for Fermented Melon, and start again. The night before last, I removed the tabs, made L-shaped brackets to hold the shell together, squeezed in the wheels, fitted the motor mounts, and found somewhere for the weapon moto...

Re: hello

love the grabber!

I'm so jealous of people who can build a bot from anything in seemingly no time. I've spent loads of evenings working on my melon-shaped axe/grabber, and it's pants. :P

Re: Bugglebots

I can recommend listening to the hard core podcast, which has been following the series; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNvsDogU0GM.

It's interesting to hear some opinions from American beetle builders, plus they chat with some of the.. er.. contestants?

Re: Team BLEEP build diary

With the 3D printer broked (Ender 3 bowden gap leak. New connector on its way!), I've turned my attention to Fermented Melon. First, I printed the bot out on paper, using Blender and a papercraft plugin. I soon realised that I'd made a mistake - I'd forgotten to add motor brackets, so the motors wer...

Re: Botfest 2 (23rd March 2019)

yay! the first one was grate, so count me in. :D

I've entered Fermented Melon and Sprouting Potato, but I'll prolly switch out S.Potato for my planned cluster; Lemon & Slime. It depends on me getting my 3D printer unjammed (I bloomin hope I can!)

Re: Team BLEEP build diary

I'm still working on it, but here's how sprouting potato is looking at the moment: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7859/44708121780_3c762d2dcc_c.jpg the orange pla is just for testing the shape. it'll either be semi transparent or purple, depending on if i can get abs printing in tim...

Re: Team BLEEP build diary

Not much progress, as usual. I don't get enough spare time. :( It doesn't stop me thinking, tho, and this week I have mostly been thinking 'torque reaction'! I thought it might work for Fermented Melon, with the battery and ESC in the wedge, and the drive and axe kept in place with bearings, but I t...
