Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
I really like the design of you robot (the blue and the wolf's head). I'm also happy to see you using Maya to design your robot. I'd been looking into some 3D software to do some work on and most sites suggested using SolidWorks: the price of that scared me! Thanks for keeping this blog, very usefu...

Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
It looks like his pictures are hosted on the FRA (uploaded there and he copied the link). This means if you're not logged into the FRA forum you won't be able to see it. I suggest coolspeedbot switches to an image hoster like imgur. Oh didn't know you needed to log into the FRA to see the pics, gue...

Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
So mix of progress and delays on Killer-Wolf, Killer-Wolf is currently needing some rewiring as the wires fell off the motors and decided to take the suggestion to shorten the wires to save some space. Hopefully I don't mess it up, I'm rusty with soldering. I used some polycarb to make the new flipp...

Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
So I've been working on Killer-Wolf 1.5 and considered using my software to help work out ideas, below is a screenshot of a model of Killer-wolf new size to check if it can still fit the 4inch cube. http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=6060&d=1471221577 And this is an exam...

Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
I had concidered shorting the wires but I'm worryed I mess it up plus I don't have a working soldering iron. As for the hinges I'm looking in to it, I tested VHS cases on the old Killer-wolf shell and it works nice, but I'm worried that they'll brake too easily against a spinner. As for the ears, sa...

Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
So bit late (2-3 weeks late) but I thought I write up a post AWS 50 report on Killer-Wolf. I know it was my first AWS and in fact my first ever time competing at any robot event, but I had high expectations of Killer-wolf and he fell so short of them and sadly it did put a downer on my first time (a...

Re: AWS 50- 23rd July- Basingstoke
You won't need to be there by 9 coolspeedbot , I am aiming for 9:55 and also you don't need to worry it's quite laid back and social Old habits, I like to give myself a safe margin of time when I'm going somewhere, and I said 9ish but might slip to 9:30 if I'm a little lost or theres a delay on the...
