Re: Servos

I've just fished out a pair of modded SD200s from the 2009 version of Pete's kit. Pretty sure one doesn't work though :-?

Re: Baby O Code

I wasn't planning on running more than 2HP motors on 2S :)
Should be fine.

Re: Baby O Code

Ok, makes sense; I'll get myself a Baby-O.
The Baby O really doesn't like more than 8V
That's a bit worrying, the spec on the pololu website says it takes 5-13.5V :-?
I'll go easy on it :P

Re: Baby O Code

Ah, Cheers for that :) Was wondering though, has anyone ever given one of these a run as an antweight controller. I can see them being similar to the Baby-o due to them both using the ATmega328 and I could break 3 of them for the price of breaking 1 baby-o. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-Mini-atmega3...

Re: Baby O Code

Hey, I was wondering if there was anywhere the Baby O and Programmer combo was available in the UK?

Re: rule 4E

Personally, I've never seen this rule enforced; 20 seconds is longer than you think it is when it comes to a battle. If the robot hasn't used the hold to remove the opponent from the arena within 20 seconds, it's unlikely they will at all. Pushers do a lot more pinning than claw bots anyway, get rid...

Re: Rule 3c - Arena Drop-off

Determined not to be part of a silent majority as Gary puts it (and I would encourage others to do the same), I would like to say that more or less all of the suggestions on drop off limitations have been to my liking. I would love to see the introduction of low walls and a reduced drop off simply b...

Re: The AWS43 Feedback Thread

Finally, I know this is a minor thing, but I really felt that the cameras got priority over the drivers when it came to viewing the arena. It is probably personal taste, but I much prefer to be stood behind my robot as it starts, which I obviously couldn't have due to the positioning of the camera ...

Re: AWS 43- University of Reading- Sat 8th March 2014

A huge and belated thanks to Will and everyone responsible for the event, I personally had an amazing if unsuccessful time. I hope this becomes a regular venue and style of AWS to come :)
