Re: Kosmos Build Diary
So sadly I wasn't able to make the AWS, which is a shame, as I could well have been ready! Anyway, here's what I've been up to: Firstly, my receiver woes are over, as the replacement came, and worked beautifully! I now have my weapon servo, linked below, and I've fitted it in the robot, using a pape...

Re: Antweight armour
I thought I read somewhere when I started out that metal armour couldn't be thicker than 1mm, but that doesn't appear in the current rules as far as I can tell! I'm guessing that might be a good guideline though?

Theres anotherone but i cant remember the name of it but thanks for the interest. :) Try a photo compressor - that's what I use - then you can upload l...

Re: Kosmos Build Diary
I think another update was due a week ago, but I keep telling myself that 'I'll just do a bit more before I post!' so it's just got delayed! Anyway, on the bodywork side of things, it's largely finished, with the only modifications needed being a polycarb support for my weapon servo, which I'm...

Re: Kosmos Build Diary
A flipper called Kosmos? Well this is awkward... :P  Luckily it's a different spelling? As I said, mine's named after the rocket, rather than 'the cosmos' so I think we can get away with it! :P Overall, my recommendation is to go for the Futaba variant and take the case off of the receiver to ...
Re: AWS 53?
Sounds great! I think that should be an achievable deadline for my build. Hopefully I'll be able to get a lift up on the day!

Re: Kosmos Build Diary
First, a very brief update, but no photos this time. The body is progressing fantastically well, with all the panels cut, save for the internal supports. I can really see it coming together, and that part at least will be complete in the next few days. I've always used a bit of tape to join the piec...
