Re: Technical feather stuff

Thanks for all the info, Jamie.
I'm signed up for the AWS and I will be there, and I would love to talk to you about building a featherweight. I've found everything required now except pipework, so does anyone know ehere I can get some Pipework for the ram and gas bottle? :)

Re: AWS 35 - Pontefract - 17th July 2011

Just an Idea I've had:
At the third AWS each year (eg: AWS 36), the three winners throughout the year (Inertia 2 & two others) fight for one last fight, and the winner becomes the 2011 UK AW champion. Please reply!

Re: Technical feather stuff

My Grandad is busy most of the time, and I normally only see him a few times a year. He's going to be telling me how to do things because I know nothing and I'm going to do them. Fun, but it'll take a long time.

Re: Technical feather stuff

Oh, and the ram on the page says it's double acting, will that diminish the power?

Re: Technical feather stuff

LOL, I don't think it'll be ready in time for Maidstone in November, let alone the AWS in two weeks!
Haz, are you sure that street fights are allowed, coz I heard that they were banned for some reason.

Re: Technical feather stuff

Thanks guys, the metal that I'm using is a steel & aluminium alloy. Titanium is a bit expensive for me, but if I save up, I'm sure I can afford it, but at the moment I'm spending my money on parts, and afterwards, I'm going to save up for a Spectrum DX radio controller (thanks for the suggestion...

About 1.5mm - 4mm. So quite a range.

Re: Technical feather stuff

can i just say this first my grandad used to work with pneumatics and he was packing one and and it literally blew his hand off. he only has 1 finger. now he wont go near the damn things I'm very sorry to hear that! We're only using low pressure - about 10 bar (145p.s.i), so not too explosive...
